Lentil soup
Description
Classic lentil soup just like your mum would make. If you wish to you can add some carrots and some bacon or thinly sliced sausage.

Main ingredients
- 1 cup Lentil (big cup)
- 1 onion (medium)
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp tomatoes
- 2 potatoes
- salt to taste
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp thyme

15 minutesRinse the lentils and boil according to the package.
- 1 cup Lentil (big cup)

Discard the water and set the lentils aside.

5 minutesIn a large pot heat the oil and add the chopped onion for 5 mins.

Add the lentils, tomatoes, potatoes (chopped into cubes) and season with salt and pepper.

15 minutesAdd the water depending on how thick you want the soup to be. Cook until the potatoes are tender.

Just before the potatoes are fully cooked add the dried thyme, garlic cloves and the flour mixed with some water to thicken the soup.
